We are thrilled that you have decided to learn more about this year’s HSE University Student Council Elections!

To help you better understand the role and functions of the Student Council, we have provided detailed information below.

Elections are held for:

  • Faculty student councils
  • Campus-wide student councils
  • Dormitory student councils
  • the Council of the International Students Association (CISA)
  • the Ombudsman for Students’ Rights

HOW TO BECOME A CANDIDATE

 

Sign in to your MyHSE Services Account at lk.hse.ru

Navigate to the 'Services' section

Select the EXTRA project

Select 'Elections for the Student Council'

Click 'Apply for Elections to the Student Council’ or 'Apply for Elections to the Ombudsman for Students Rights'

Fill out the form, by attaching a photo, a letter to voters, or an election platform

Your application has been submitted successfully. Please wait for a response from the Student Council’s Election Committee!

BECOME A CANDIDATE FOR STUDENT COUNCIL!

     

THE VOTING PROCESS:

Each student has a certain number of votes to allocate to candidates. The number of available votes for local student councils depends on the size of the faculty or dormitory.

Do not forget to check your email! Voting will be available via a personalised link sent to your university email.

Campus students can also access the application through their personal account. Please note that the end of the nomination period and the campaigning period on campuses may vary.

STUDENT COUNCIL – THE VOICE
OF STUDENTS

The Student Council is aimed at:
  • Protecting students’ rights and advocating for their interests
  • Organising and facilitating student events and initiatives
  • Promoting the development of student-driven projects and initiatives
  • Enhancing the learning environment and living conditions for students
  • Participating in the development of the university
  • Gaining unforgettable and significant experience in solving actual management challenges
Opportunities for students include:
  • Working in committees on various topics, from quality control in education to fostering international partnerships with universities
  • Participating in the operation of the Situation Centre, a hub for crisis management and emergency response
  • Collaborating in the formulation and implementation of local policies and regulations
  • Initiating and executing projects aimed at improving the overall student experience
